First day
Welcome to Bosnia
Arrival in Smetovi, Zenica late in the afternoon. Accommodation at the
Extreme Sports Club Scorpio on the hills of Zenica. Welcome and barbeque
for the guests.
Second day
Learning to fly. Mini course of paragliding for beginners
on the slopes of Smetovi: in one day participants often manage to take
the first short flights. Everybody can experience the feeling of flying
without any risk. The steep meadows in Smetovi are an ideal training
ground for the first flights. From the centre, it is also possible to
hike in the woods towards the partisan monument. As alternative to paragliding,
mountain bike on the hills of Smetovi. Lunch and dinner are provided
by the organisation. Cultural Alternative to paragliding: mountain bike
excursion to the the old fortress of Vranduk and return to Zenica.
Third day
Towards Sarajevo Breakfast in Smetovi, departure for Sarajevo. Visit
to the Franciscan monastery and relevant museum in Kraljeva Sutjeska,
the oldest of all Bosia and Herzegovina. Cultural hike to Bobovac, the
last medieval capital of the Bosnian Kingdom under King Tomas. The hike
lasts one hour through the canyon of Bobovica river. We will hike towards
the sentry posts of the town until we get to the remains of the old
town which protected the Bosnian kingdom from invaders. Pocket lunch
provided for by the organisers. In the early afternoon arrival in Sarajevo,
accommodation in pension or private rooms. Dinner (not included in the
price) and visit to the town. Evening in Sarajevo.
Fourth day
Towards Herzegovina After breakfast (not included), departure
for Boracko Jezero, a famous lake close to Konjic. We will be accommodated
in Bukovica, a mountain hut that will serve as departure point for rafting
and canyoning. We will take a light rucksack for the excursion on the
Visocica mountain. During the excursion we will visit the Stecci the
typical Bosnian tombstones that date back to the time of the Bogomis.
We will climb then the Djamija peak (1967 meters), the most beautiful
view point of the all Bosnia and Herzegovina. From here we can see the
Rakitnica and Neretva river which will be the site of the activities
for the two following days. Pocket lunch provided for by the organisation.
Return, dinner and overnight in Bukovica.
Fifth day
Rakitnica dimension Canyoning in Rakitnica river: it is a trip to a
new dimension, made of rock and fast water. From Bukovica, we will drive
to the village of Dubocani and from here we will descend the canyon
on mini-rafts. The trip will last the entire day. Rakitnica river is
one oft the least explored rivers in Europe and as the water passes
through the canyon it creates some spectacular rock shapes. The water
in the river is drinkable from the top to the bottom. The organisation
will provide a light energetic lunch in the waterproof bags. At the
end of the canyoning we will return to Bukovica for dinner.

Sixth day

Neretva Canyon. Rafting on Neretva river, a historical river for Bosnian
and Herzegovina, famous for the emerald green color of its waters. The
rafting takes place in the initial part of the Neretva and it lasts
the whole day. The lunch will be provided by the organisers. The rafting
ends very close to the little town of Konjic. From here we will return
to Bukovica for the dinner.
Seventh day
Rock and water in Herzegovina. From Bukovica we’ll head to Dreznica,
20 km north of Mostar at the end of the Drezanka canyon. We will leave
our luggage here for the camping and with a light rucksack we will start
towards Bijela canyon. From where we leave the vehicle, we will hike
for one and half ours to the start of the canyon, which is completely
hidden by the vegetation. Bjela canyon is a unique experience between
canyoning and speleology in a canyon which was explored for the first
time only 3 years ago. Two abseils will take us to the bottom of the
canyon, where even during the day, the light is scarce. To descend the
canyon we will need 2 hours approximately, depending on the groups.
Lunch will be provided by the organisation. We will return to Dreznica,
where the camping will be ready and a barbeque will be waiting for the
guests.
Eight day
Relax in Mostar Visit to Mostar (20 km from Dreznica), the Old Bridge
and the old centre. From Mostar we will head to Vrelo Bune, the Buna
springs. The place is really mystical and for this reason a Dervis Tekkia
has been built on this spot, where Dervishes withdrew to meditate. We
will visit the Tekkia and have lunch in a typical restaurant nearby.
After lunch we will hike for one hour approximately to the old fortress
of Stjepan Herceg, medieval ruler of Herzegovina. From the top there
is a magnificent view of the surrounding valley. We will return to Dreznica
and have dinner in a typical restaurant in the canyon.
Ninth day
Let’s climb! One whole day of climbing at the climbing
centre in Dreznica. More than 50 routes on beautiful limestone, perfectly
bolted. There is the possibility of taking mini courses to initiate
participants to climbing. Possibility of climbing routes of different
difficulty and including mutipitch routes. Lunch in a typical restaurant
of the area and in the evening dinner a barbeque for the last evening
of the holiday. Alternative to climbing: Who does not climb can be sunbathing
or swimming in the Drezanka river. There is the possibility of mini
hike in a nearby valley to the bivouac of Diva Grabovica.
Tenth Day
Historical Centre of Pocitelj After breakfast, we will head South. Once
we leave Dreznica, with the direction of the coast, past Mostar, we
will stop and visit the centre of Pocitelj, old medieval town, in a
strategic position with a very beautiful view on the Neretva Valley
and site of an important art colony. This is the end of the holiday
and the guest will proceed towards the Dalmatian coast.

Option 2: arrival to and departure from Sarajevo
First day

Fifth and Sixth Day
Hiking on Prenj – Bosnian Himalaya From Bukovica, we will move
back towards Konjic and
in the village of Borci, we will take the road to Boracka Draga, a narrow
V-shaped valley, which is the entrance to Prenj and the meadows of Crnopolje.
Once we are in Crnopolje, we will leave the vehicles and start for a
two days of hiking and climbing on Prenj. Here there are numerous chances
and decisions can be made on the spot. We will sleep in tents or in
one of the bivouacs in the area. The Prenj massive has several important
peaks (Zelena Glava, Otis, Osobac) and a wild environment, almost completely
untouched. It is also possible to climb some routes (IV-VI grade, 150-250
meters).The Extreme Sports Club Scorpio provides lead climbing service
(not included in the price, to be agreed separately). The meals during
the hike will be provided by the organisation. Upon our return, we will
go back to Bukovica, where the following day we will head towards Dreznica.
